MR CLIFF RECHEL - Room 118
As someone who appreciates a wide variety of artistic endeavours, Mr Rechel is the perfect person to introduce our Grade Sevens to the wonderful world of Art at Knox. From painting, drawing, Colour Theory, and chalk pastel work to finding inspiration in master artists like Matisse and Delaunay, Art 7 has much to offer the novice and emerging expert alike.
Mr Rechel brings a wealth of experience in the realm of tech, offering a great perspective to his students as they work on design and composition through exploring the Seven Elements of Art. Mr Rechel is also our school's Yearbook Advisor, so he is one very busy man.
At school, Mr Rechel can be found in the 'new' Art Room in Room 118, right next to Ms Nightingale's Art Room. Please make sure you stop in and see all of the fantastic and creative things happening in this space. Mr Rechel will be happy to show you around.

MS KAREN NIGHTINGALE - Room 117
Do what you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life. Ms Nightingale took this advice to heart when picking a career path and has never looked back.
Ms Nightingale has been teaching since 1997 - longer than her students have been alive! With Bachelor and Masters degrees from the University of Victoria, Ms Nightingale feels confident that her students receive the very highest standard in Art Education.
Ms Nightingale's favourite part of her job is both WHAT and WHO she gets to teach. She loves paint, clay, printmaking ink, encaustics, watercolours and experimenting with mixed media. She also loves (truly) working with middle school students because the day is never boring! Knox has been her home since 2001, first at the original location and now at our beautiful new school.
When not at school, Ms Nightingale can be found making her own art or playing with her young twin boys Gavin and Leo.
